SANTO DOMINGO – La deficiencia de micronutrientes, mejor conocida como “hambre oculta”, es un problema de salud que a escala global afecta a 2 mil millones de personas, según fue revelado hoy durante la apertura del “Primer Evento para la Promoción de la Fortificación del Arroz en América Latina y el Caribe”, que tiene como objetivo resaltar la fortificación del arroz como una estrategia costo-efectiva que puede ayudar a los países a alcanzar la meta de Hambre Cero para el 2030, según se fijó en los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).
