SANTIAGO DE CHILE. -- El nuevo informe de Naciones Unidas Panorama de la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional 2022 asegura que el 22,5% de las personas en América Latina y el Caribe no cuenta con los medios suficientes para acceder a una dieta saludable.
Mientras lee esto, 42,3 millones de personas en todo el mundo se encuentran al borde de la hambruna, mientras los conflictos, el cambio climático y la inestabilidad económica global se juntan para crear crisis de hambre en países de todo el mundo.
Para llegar al Hambre Cero, los alimentos no bastan. Proporcionar ayuda alimentaria en una emergencia puede salvar vidas, pero una nutrición adecuada en el momento oportuno también puede ayudar a cambiar vidas y romper el ciclo de la pobreza.
El acceso a alimentos nutritivos y de buena calidad sigue siendo un desafío para un gran número de familias en Venezuela (República Bolivariana de). Las rupturas en la cadena de suministro global y el aumento de los precios de los alimentos han acentuado este problema.
