Gaza corre el riesgo de caer en la hambruna si no se restablece urgentemente el acceso a alimentos adecuados, agua potable y servicios de salud y saneamiento. Toda la población -unos 2,2 millones de personas- sufre niveles de inseguridad alimentaria de crisis o peores.
La contribución de 3,000 toneladas métricas de arroz y 800 toneladas de granos –la primera donación de Brasil para operaciones del PMA en Sri Lanka –van a ser usados para ayudar a satisfacer las necesidades de aquellas familias desplazadas en el norte del país.
