Tras el terremoto de magnitud 6,3 que sacudió la provincia de Herat, en el oeste de Afganistán, el sábado 7 de octubre, el Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP) está sobre el terreno prestando ayuda a los supervivientes.
Los equipos del Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP, por sus siglas en inglés) en el Caribe están evaluando los impactos del huracán Beryl que azotó Jamaica el miércoles por la tarde como un peligroso huracán de categoría 4.
Esta contribución marca un hito histórico, ya que es una de las primeras veces que Mongolia dona fondos a WFP, reafirmando así su solidaridad internacional y su compromiso con el Hambre Cero.

WFP se está viendo obligado a recortar drásticamente las raciones en la mayoría de sus operaciones a medida que la financiación humanitaria internacional cae en picada.

El programa brindará socorro y apoyo a las familias en su recuperación, asegurando el acceso a alimentos, agua y otras necesidades esenciales.
