El Programa Mundial de Alimentos de las Naciones Unidas advirtió hoy que se está quedando sin fondos para financiar sus operaciones de ayuda a 2,2 millones de refugiados en todo el mundo, lo que trae más sufrimiento y endurece las condiciones de vida de cientos de miles de personas.
La Organización Internacional para las Migraciones (OIM), el Programa Mundial de Alimentos de las Naciones Unidas (PMA), y el London School of Economics (LSE) con la colaboración de La Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA) han lanzado un estudio exploratorio como un primer paso para establecer el vínculo entre los tres fenómenos: migración, hambre y violencia en los 3 países del Triángulo Norte

Desde La Guajira hasta el Amazonas y del Chocó hasta el Vichada, más de 300 trabajadores humanitarios del Programa Mundial de Alimentos de las Naciones Unidas (WFP, por sus siglas en inglés) laboran incansablemente en estas zonas de difícil acceso para garantizar la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional de las comunidades más vulnerables de Colombia.
