La protección social desempeña un papel vital en la búsqueda de un mundo con Hambre Cero. Esta estrategia explica cómo WFP contribuirá al desarrollo de sistemas y programas nacionales de protección social de alta calidad en contextos de inseguridad alimentaria, como complemento a la labor de WFP en la respuesta de emergencia.
Para que la protección social apoye a la adaptación al cambio climático y vaya más allá de la respuesta a choques, debe tener en cuenta en su análisis, planificación y diseño los principios clave que aquí presentamos.
