Esta contribución marca un hito histórico, ya que es una de las primeras veces que Mongolia dona fondos a WFP, reafirmando así su solidaridad internacional y su compromiso con el Hambre Cero.

CIUDAD DE PANAMÁ – En América Latina y el Caribe, donde la mayoría de los alumnos permanecen fuera de las aulas, UNICEF, la UNESCO y el Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP) llaman a los gobiernos de la región a intensificar la preparación de todas las escuelas para una eventual reapertura segura y ayudarles en este proceso con dos nuevas herramientas.

En este cargo, dirige el trabajo del Departamento de Gestión para habilitar las operaciones de WFP en las áreas de planificación, elaboración de presupuestos e informes de desempeño, finanzas, gestión de riesgos, tecnología, seguridad y servicios de gestión.

El Programa de Asistencia en Efectivo Beryl está destinado a 11.500 personas cuyas viviendas fueron dañadas o destruidas por el huracán Beryl a principios de julio. El programa brindará socorro y apoyo a las familias en su recuperación, asegurando el acceso a alimentos, agua y otras necesidades esenciales.
Contar con el título de propiedad de la tierra es un importante escalón para mejorar la dignidad humana, empujar el desarrollo económico más inclusivo y cerrar las brechas de género.
