ROMA - La inseguridad alimentaria aguda está prevista para aumentar en magnitud y severidad en 18 "puntos críticos" de hambre, que abarcan un total de 22 países, según un nuevo informe de alerta temprana de la ONU. El informe destaca el riesgo de un desbordamiento de la crisis en Sudán, aumentando el riesgo de impactos negativos en países vecinos.
A medida que el conflicto se intensifica, los civiles, incluidos los niños y las familias vulnerables, enfrentan desafíos cada vez mayores para acceder a suministros alimentarios esenciales, con redes de distribución de alimentos interrumpidas y producción de alimentos gravemente obstaculizada por las hostilidades.
