Los programas de alimentación escolar bien diseñados e implementados sobre la base de una nutrición de origen local tienen un impacto positivo en la nutrición infantil y en la salud, en la asistencia escolar y el aprendizaje, en la productividad e ingresos de los pequeños agricultores, y en la creación de empleo y el desarrollo del sector privado.
La Oficina de Ética de WFP apoya las medidas de prevención en toda la organización. Esto incluye brindar orientación a una red de más de 300 puntos focales de PEAS, ubicados en todas las oficinas regionales, oficinas en los países y oficinas de campo con una importante presencia de personal.
