El Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP) está almacenando 310 toneladas métricas de alimentos en la frontera de Gaza, listos para ser enviados a las personas que los necesitan desesperadamente, tan pronto como se conceda el acceso humanitario.
“El suministro de alimentos y agua es prácticamente inexistente en Gaza y sólo una fracción de lo que se necesita llega a través de las fronteras. Con el invierno acercándose rápidamente, refugios inseguros y superpoblados y la falta de agua potable, los civiles se enfrentan a la posibilidad inmediata de morir de hambre", dijo Cindy McCain, directora ejecutiva de WFP.
