Los episodios de violencia, el confinamiento y la crisis económica han afectado la seguridad alimentaria de las comunidades afrodescendientes de El Medio y Alto Baudó, en el departamento de Chocó (Colombia).
Este informe conjunto, preparado sobre la base de una encuesta de miles de hogares en tres países centroamericanos - El Salvador, Guatemala y Honduras, analiza en profundidad las motivaciones y los costos de la migración.
Para mejorar la alimentación y nutrición de las niñas y niños de familias que viven en extrema pobreza en Carchi, el PMA y el gobierno de la provincia se proponen dar asistencia a mil familias, vinculando la provisión de alimentos con asociaciones de pequeños productores, en especial mujeres.
